Pastry-like with elderberry and jammy sweetness with mango as it cools, this 100% Caturra variety is grown by Luis Vicente Morales in the Tasnaque, Yacuanquer area of Nariño, Colombia. Luis’ coffee is special to us because it was the first direct relationship for Luna when we first started and we have an arrangement with Luis where we will take all his specialty grade coffee. This is the second lot from this most recent harvest for the 2021/2022 period.

Backstory
Soaring 2100 m above sea level and cool relatively dry climate Luis grows mainly Caturra variety, a total of around 10,000 trees planted on two hectares. He has another half hectare, 4500 trees of Caturra that he regularly enters into various local contests. Small lots, but they’re exceptional.
